Fruit Punch

The strawberry’s eyes moved menacingly from left to right
A subtle gesture to the otherwise bemused apple
Six long minutes
And then POP
The strawberry struck with feverous blow

Meanwhile,
Quite understandably,
A pack of bananas waited in angst;
Potassium nightmares wrought amongst fibrous opposition

Crunch

That familiar sound;
The apple had bitten it
Lost in a sea of salivation

There never had been enough space in this bowl,
Mused the Strawberry

Petty girl;
A real day-dreamer

Vacuous words
On empty paper

Polished pens,
